Johne’s Milk ELISA closer to inclusion in USDA Johne’s program AntelBio Johne’s Milk ELISA earns official recognition at U.S. Animal Health Association meetings. Resolutions to recognize milk as an approved Johne’s screening test by USDA, enabling its inclusion in Voluntary Bovine Johne’s Disease Control Programs and to allow DHI technicians to pull and submit samples for an official program disease were proposed. Pending approval, these resolutions will be adopted in 2008. Click for more DHI Lab Quality Certification now includes Johne’s ELISA testing The National DHIA board of directors recently accepted standard guidelines and procedures for ELISA testing in DHI laboratories. This action enables ELISA testing, for various diseases and other items of interest, to be part of the Quality Certification Services audit. Along with AntelBio, eight DHI labs across the U.S. and Canada perform Johne’s ELISA testing.
